Yesterday the DEAR board of directors held the 16th annual meeting. The news of reopening is the most exciting result of hunkering down during the COVID-19 closure. Fourteen months of unknown duration is becoming history.

DEAR will be gradually reopening in May, June and July. State protocols for us initially to allow one to one staffing with 3 or 4 customers. Some weeks later, two small groups of six customers each will be in separate ends of the facility.

The return to full programing necessarily implies deliberate steps for safe care of customers. Staff will get retrained on the returning customers' needs. The facility will get frequent sanitizing. State protocols for day programs will be meticulously followed.

Questions may be texted or phoned to Dave Apple at 503-601-0100.

Thanks for your understanding and support.
